Hi there!
Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful daddies out there. This week has mostly been about our daddies in the Butterfly room. We talked about things we like to do with our dads and the different ways we can show them our love and care.
To show our dads our appreciation, we drew colourful pictures to go into our lovely decorated picture frames. With endless imaginative possibilities, open-ended activities like these are always great fun!
For yoga this week, the children listened to the sounds of the 'Tibetan Meditation Bowl' as a form of our mindfulness practice. The children from the Cocoon/Caterpillar class learned to be mindful as they practiced their breathing techniques. Look at how confident they are in class now!
The swimming pools are out and the children had a really good time this week splashing about in the water! Needless to say, it left the adults very jealous! Apart from having an enjoyable time with friends, the aim of this activity is to help children gain their confidence and independence as they practice changing in and out of their clothes. At Mulberry Tree, we always encourage practical life skills (like getting changed/putting on their shoes and socks) to help children grow and gain a sense of accomplishment.
Again, Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there! May your day be filled with lots of hugs and kisses!
