Hi there!
First of all, we'd like to congratulate Allison, our directress for receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from The Education University of Hong Kong. Allison was invited by the Faculty of Education this week to share her knowledge on two educational philosophies, the Montessori Method of Education and the Reggio-Emilia Approach and how we integrate such methods into our curriculum here at Mulberry Tree. We are delighted to see that more people are beginning to see the value of progressive education - we are definitely moving in the right direction!
This week, we have been busy preparing for Dragon Boat Festival. The students from the Cocoon/Caterpillar class walked over to Tai Wo Wet Market to purchase some ingredients to make sticky rice dumplings next week. The kids from the Butterfly class on the other hand went and bought different scented herbs from a Chinese herbal shop to make perfumed sachets to welcome the special celebration! We can't wait to make delicious sticky rice dumplings to share with our loved ones at home next week!
In the Butterfly room, the Dragon Boat theme continues as we make our very own dragon boats!
Announcement: Save the Date (19th of July, 2019) for our 'Learning Journey Tea Party'.
Details to follow so stay tuned!
