Our Approach
At Mulberry Tree International Kindergarten, as educators we recognise children as active learners with an immense capacity for problem solving and decision making. Our learning through play programme fosters your child’s instinct for enquiry and exploration of the world around them. We aim to nurture independence and cultivate curiosity, whilst developing confidence and social skills. A facilitator works in partnership with the children, helping to guide their interests and imagination. Unlike in a traditional school the unique environment we have carefully created plays a crucial role as a “ third teacher ”, providing much inspiration for learning.
Our multilingual curriculum combines the strengths of both Montessori and Reggio Emilia education principles. Thus, we are able to offer an emergent, project-based curriculum that is ambitious, progressive and inherently child-centred. With a strong focus on practical learning and the Arts, we provide a wealth of opportunities to explore and develop your child’s creative and capable mind.
Mulberry Tree Group 成立於2013年,結合蒙特梭利和瑞吉歐的教學理念,提供一個多元文化的語言環境,現時主要運用英語、廣東話和普通話融入學校日常流程,日後還會加入更多不同語言。
根據蒙特梭利和瑞吉歐的教學理念,我們認為每一孩子也是獨特的,我們尊重孩子有不同的學習能力,會配合他們的需要,誘導獨立學習和發展。
我們採納蒙特梭利教學法中,讓孩子在混合年齡小組學習,以建立他們的社交技巧,亦有利進行同儕模仿和學習,同時,讓他們自主選擇想做的活動和工作。
同時,結合瑞吉歐教育中,讓孩子利用不同工具去表達他們對生活的認知和理解,進而發揮他們天賦的創造力。我們會運用主題教學和在生活環境中學習,配合考察活動,引導孩子發掘和探索,以協助和啓發他們的自主學習和創作,並將他們的作品展示於生活當中。
